My journey in art started about 40 years ago and quickly developed into a love of transparent watercolour. I like the immediacy which is required when using this medium, and the resulting delights which occur when working outdoors. I have completed many visual diaries “en plein air” while travelling around Australia and overseas. These watercolour sketches form the basis for my larger paintings. Both the sketches from my diaries and some of my larger works are showcased here.

For the last 6 years I have been running The Papermill Gallery at the Fyansford Papermill near Geelong, displaying the work of many fine artists from our region.

I have also been teaching, and holding workshops in watercolour painting at the Gallery for the past 5 years.
